Welcome to the International Joint Congress of Minimally Invasive Spine Society - IMLAS, which is organized in Turkey, a country of which bar is raising in science, art, industrial production, sports, contribution to regional and global peace, free economy, respect to our planet and in numerous other issues.

Anatolia is entirely an outdoor museum. You can see traces of million years ago at the Museum of Civilizations in Ankara. Anatolia is the source of philosophers. Mevlana, one of them, was as sophisticated as saying “either seem as you are or be as you seem!”. Anatolia is a world. I wish you could stay more sparing some time. Anatolian people created a Republic from an Emperor. Antalya, where the sea, the sun, history and nature meet in a magical harmony, has the most beautiful and cleanest beaches of the Mediterranean. Along the coasts of Antalya of 630 km are the antique cities, antique harbors, mausoleums, lacy bays, beaches, green forests and streams. You can ski on the mountain and swim in the sea on the same day in Antalya.

MINOD was born inside the Turkish Spinal Association that has a very important place in Turkey. Today, with its members over hundred, it is carrying out serious and voluntary works. We remember with respect our scientific leaders who have not spared their support. We send our best greetings from our heart to Dr S. H. Lee, Dr. A. Young, Dr. M. Knight, Dr. W. Rauschning and many other friends that I cannot spell their names here, who have contributed to the development of minimal invasive surgery in our country. As the Organization Committee, we have united our powers and capacities, and prepared a congress deserving your efforts and times. We wish to share with you this scientific and social activity that was made with your valuable support. During the congress we shall follow interactive debates, instructive conferences, panels, scientific video shows, free announcements and posters. On the way back home, you will have scientific and social memories that are unforgettable. We are impatient to welcome you.
